The Integrated Research Training Group (IRTG) provides the framework for training and further education of doctoral and postdoctoral researchers within TRR404. It offers early career researchers additional opportunities to advance their personal and professional qualifications.
The IRTG encompasses a wide range of activities, including seminars and lectures, workshops on scientific and transferable skills, lab visits, short international research stays, as well as joint retreats and summer schools.
The IRTG pursues two overarching goals:
(i) Training a new generation of researchers who will carry their knowledge forward into both academia and industry.
(ii) Connecting all locations and disciplines through a mix of online and in person formats.

Doctoral researchers are actively involved in the decision-making processes of the TRR. Spokespersons are elected to represent the interests of the doctoral community. Learn more about the Management-Board.
