Friday Get-Togethers

Friday Get-Togethers are regular talks held on Fridays, featuring both external guest speakers and TRR404's own doctoral researchers. They offer an opportunity to learn about current research topics and developments from within and beyond the consortium. Following each talk, doctoral researchers have the opportunity to connect and exchange with one another and the speaker.
All talks are recorded. Access to the recordings can be requested from the MGK coordination.

Spring Workshop

Once a year, doctoral researchers and postdocs of TRR404 come together for a self-organised Spring Workshop focused on scientific exchange and networking across subprojects. The format is designed to help young researchers learn about each other's work and identify shared interfaces and collaboration opportunities. The program is complemented by workshops with external trainers covering a range of professional and transferable skills.

Research Retreat Festival

Once a year, the full Active 3D team gathers for the Research Retreat Festival (RRF). Over three days, all projects present their progress, discuss next steps and challenges, and exchange with invited keynote speakers. Alongside the scientific program, dedicated retreat sessions and workshops with external trainers foster team spirit and communication across the consortium.

Summer School

The Dresden Microelectronics Academy (DMA) is an annual one-week summer school hosted by TU Dresden and its partners from industry and academia. It offers doctoral researchers and postdocs a comprehensive introduction to semiconductor research and industry, including expert talks, lab tours, and networking opportunities.
